About Prime Time Brass
Rochester's Premier Brass Band
Formed in 2005 by 12 of the top brass players from Western New York and Canada, Prime Time Brass has grown into the premiere brass ensemble in the region.
With a rotating roster of over 30 talented musicians, the group features former DCA Brass Ensemble Champions who came together to take their musicianship to the next level. Prime Time Brass is a high energy, technically proficient ensemble that can dazzle you with their technique and astound you with their enormous sound.
The band's commitment to excellence and infectious confidence demands attention wherever they perform. Their sizzling brass, showmanship, and crowd interaction make Prime Time Brass required entertainment - from the smallest parade to the largest corporate event.
Many members have won championships with some of the best junior and senior drum and bugle corps, bringing unparalleled experience that pushes the group to new heights every year. Well-traveled and highly respected in the community, Prime Time Brass represents the spirit and sound of brass bands everywhere.

2013–2023: Prime Time Brass performed each year at the Rochester International Jazz Festival to standing-room-only crowds.
2010–2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2024: New Orleans, LA - Mardi Gras Week – leading up to, and including, Fat Tuesday
2008–2015, 2020,2021: New York City - Concerts on 5th Avenue, in Central Park, Times Square, a special request concert for the NYPD and NYFD near the site of the 9/11 Memorial, and at the USS Intrepid/Space Shuttle Enterprise Museum
2014–2015: Washington, DC - Concert at the WWII Memorial

PTB Gives Back
Since 2015, Prime Time Brass has been dedicated to giving back to our community through our music. We regularly visit local school music programs to offer free clinics and fundraising concerts. By demonstrating the opportunities music provides beyond high school, we hope to inspire student musicians to continue pursuing their passion.
We also make supporting veterans and active duty service members a year-round priority. We are honored to use our talents to give back to those who have sacrificed for our country.
